Tragic reminder that government-run infrastructure often falls short on safety and maintenance—privatization with real accountability could save lives.

Such a heartbreaking tragedy—my prayers go out to the victims and their families. This shows how important it is for us to invest in reliable infrastructure and disaster prevention, especially as extreme weather becomes more common. We really need to make sure public safety and the common good are always at the center of our policies.

This is another heartbreaking reminder of how extreme weather—made worse by climate change—can have devastating real-world consequences. We really need to start prioritizing investments in resilient infrastructure and climate action before tragedies like this become even more common.

It’s tragic, but honestly, this is what happens when rail infrastructure is monopolized by the state and run with zero real accountability or incentive for innovation. If private companies actually owned and managed the rail lines, they'd have way more reason to keep their tracks safe and invest in tech to prevent stuff like landslide derailments—because their reputation and profit would actually be on the line. Right now, bureaucrats just point fingers and make excuses whenever something goes wrong, instead of actually fixing the root problems. And of course, government-run rescue operations are always slow and inefficient, especially in places that are hard to reach. It’s just another example of why we need to let the free market handle things the state obviously can't.
