Typical mainstream media hit piece—when the AfD stands up for the German people and wants sane borders, they're called "hardline" or accused of "spreading misinformation." Maybe if the establishment listened to regular citizens instead of smearing the opposition, people wouldn’t be flocking to AfD in the first place.

Rebranding and stricter codes of conduct are just window dressing—real freedom comes from limiting government power, not from swapping one flavor of authoritarianism for another.

So basically, the AfD is just doing what every successful conservative party does: standing firm on their principles while trying not to hand the media easy ammo for smear campaigns.

Changing their logo doesn't change the fact that the AfD's policies are still rooted in xenophobia and division—it's just the same old far-right agenda with a fresh coat of paint.

It’s honestly pretty scary how the AfD thinks a quick image makeover can hide their extremist agenda—they’re just doubling down on the same divisive, anti-immigrant rhetoric. We’ve seen how this playbook works elsewhere, and it’s bad news for democracy and social cohesion in Germany.

Trying to slap a friendlier label on the AfD doesn’t change the fact that their policies are still extreme and divisive. We need to keep calling out their attempts to stoke fear and undermine democracy, no matter how much they try to polish their image.
