While everyone deserves respect, it feels like these parades and constant rainbow displays are being pushed too aggressively, and people who disagree are quickly labeled as hateful. There has to be a balance between supporting rights and respecting those who hold traditional values or just don’t want politics everywhere, even in parliament.

It’s honestly infuriating that in 2024 we still have to fight just to wave a rainbow flag—solidarity and inclusivity should be celebrated, not restricted, especially in a city like Berlin!

Why should national symbols and traditions be overshadowed by imported ideologies and rainbow flags at the heart of our capital?

Seems like these parades are less about tolerance and more about pushing an agenda on everyone, whether they like it or not. It’s no wonder people are starting to push back when traditional values are constantly being sidelined.

Honestly, it’s wild that in 2024, we’re still seeing pushback against something as basic as waving a rainbow flag in support of LGBTQ rights. The fact that Berlin’s Pride parade needs extra security and faces flag bans at the parliament just shows how much work is left to do, not only in Germany but everywhere. I love how the community keeps showing up anyway—painting metro stations in rainbow colors is such a powerful statement. We can’t let right-wing backlash roll back the progress that’s been made; solidarity and visibility are more important than ever.
